MEET (MEDICAL AND EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT TEAM) INDIA FOUNDATION is a Charitable Trust located in Mumbai, India registered under Societies' Registration Act, 1860 and Public Trust Act, 1950 bearing Registration Number E-27315 (Mumbai).
MEET has a focused agenda of helping poor people for their education and medical needs. The trust with clear objective of social inclusion treats people from all castes and religions equally.
The trust has identified following Core Five Principles:
1) Being sensitive and responsive to the needs of underprivileged
2) Integrity in each deed
3) Efficient execution
4) Transparency in operations
5) Accountability to the donors
With the clear set of objectives and mode to achieve the same through our MISSION PAYBACK, MEET INDIA FOUNDATION reassures its donors of utmost use of their valued contribution for the noble cause.
Trustees
MR. JAYESH CHITALIA
Mr. Jayesh Chitalia is the Founder and Managing Trustee of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION. He is an active social worker. He has played a pivotal role in setting up and running a circulating books library in the name of Parivartan Pustakalaya (a part of Gujarati Bhasha Bhavan of KES). He is also associated as a Life Member with Kandivali Education Society, a Prestigious Education Institute.
By profession, Mr. Jayesh Chitalia is a renowned journalist since 1985. From 2006, he is a regular columnist and freelance Journalist. He has been writing for leading publications such as Chitralekha, Gujarati Mid-Day, Mumbai Samachar, Commodity World, Gujarat Guardian, Capital World, etc.
Mr. Jayesh Chitalia is also the language consultant spearheading the creation and translation of contents of websites for Stock Exchanges, Commodity Exchanges, SEBI, NISM, etc. He is also an anchor and speaker for various Investors’ Education and Financial Literacy seminars. He has authored 12 booklets and one book related to Finance and Investment.
MR. KAMLESH KOTAK
Mr. Kamlesh is a philanthropist and is committed to spread awareness of education across the weaker society and provide financial help and support to the needy students. He is founder trustee of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION and has played pivotal role in devising policies and strategy of the trust.
Mr. Kamlesh Kotak is a renowned personality in the financial markets. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he is associated with equity research and investment consulting for over two decades. During his long professional career, he has pursued multi-faced role. He has been writing articles on financial markets, research and investment. He has also worked as an academician. In his long stint as a professor, he trained thousands of students in Commerce, CA and MBA stream.
MR. MAHESH GANDHI
Mahesh V. Gandhi is a science graduate from Mithibai college Mumbai. Born in North Gujarat and raised and studied in Mumbai, Mahesh is a leading business personality in chemical industry. His firm BMG Chemicals Pvt. Ltd has spread its wings across India
Mr. Mahesh has a broad vision for social welfare from the beginning and is actively involved in various philanthropic activities. He is a founder member of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION. His role is that of a guiding force for the trust as he provides valuable inputs and directions as regards spectrum of activities and setting long-term vision for the trust.
LATE MR. ANIL DESAI
(TRUSTEE TILL MAY 2021)
Mr Anil Desai was a founder trustee of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION. He was a firm believer in human values and had taken various initiatives at grass root level to help the needy people. He had made an immense contribution and was actively involved in social activities of the Trust, pertaining to Education and Medical field.
Mr Anil Desai had pursued a long career in Corporate Accounts and Finance spanning over last 28 years. He had worked for renowned companies like Carbon Corporation of India Ltd., Ambuja cement Ltd, Graphite India Ltd.
Though Anil Desai is not with us physically, he has been and would always be an inspiration and guiding star to the whole team of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION. We miss him !
Founding Members
MR. DINESH GATHANI
Mr. Dinesh B. Gathani is a founding member of the MEET India Foundation. After years of being an entrepreneur, he currently is working as a CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of a private company in Dubai. He has a high level of expertise in accounting and administrative work. Dinesh has been instrumental in planning from the ground up, strategizing in a disciplined manner and developing the organization.
Even though he has been staying in Dubai for many years now, he keeps himself constantly updated about the trust’s activities and actively supports the activities.
Under Dinesh Gathani’s guidance, the Young Alert team has had undertaken various activities and expanded its scope. A firm believer in MEET India Foundation's mission of Paying Back to the Society, he has dedicated himself for the humanitarian work.
MR. APURVA H PARIKH
Mr. Apurva H Parikh is a commerce graduate from NM College, Mumbai. Born and raised in Mumbai, he completed his studies in 1981. In his professional career of 40 years, he has worked in the area of Accounting, Finance and Manufacturing Industries, as a part of senior management. During his 20 plus years stay in USA, Mr. Apurva has worked on the Wall Street as Director of Operations at UBS
It is his earnest wish to broaden charitable activities to reach out to the masses, which aligns to the core value of MEET INDIA FOUNDATION. As a founder member, Apurva has been instrumental in charting the course of activities and functionality of the trust.
